This agreement describes the terms and conditions applicable to my services as a provider of psychological therapy.
Please take the time to read these terms and conditions carefully prior to starting therapy. The terms and conditions will be reviewed bi-annually and may also be subject to change. The amended conditions will be effective from the moment they are uploaded on the K.I.N.D.E.R. Therapist website. I will notify you of any changes I may make to this policy in the future via email. It will also be the responsibility for any website user to check for new or updated terms and conditions.
CONFIDENTIALITY, ETHICS & PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE
I am bound by the professional codes of conduct of the service and accountable to my professional body, the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC), the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and British Psychological Society (BPS), which includes the responsibility to manage and store your information confidentially in line with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
Confidentiality means I will treat your personal information and what you share with me with the utmost respect, and in line with the ethical guidelines of my professional bodies.
As a BABCP Accredited CBT Psychotherapist and Counselling Psychologist in training, I will need to share details of my clinical work with my supervisor who is also bound by confidentiality. I may also need to share your information should any issues related to safety arise within our sessions. This may include risk of harm or neglect to yourself or others (adults, the general public, and/ or children). There are specific situations in which confidentiality may be broken:
1. Where you give consent for confidentiality to be broken and information to be shared.
2. Where The K.I.N.D.E.R. Therapist is compelled by a court of law.
3. Where the information shared is of such gravity and seriousness that confidentiality cannot be maintained. This includes instances in which I consider you and/or others to be in imminent danger.
Depending on the severity of the safeguarding concern, your information may be shared with your GP, the local crisis team, or the relevant local authorities. Where possible, I will always aim to discuss this with you prior to making a disclosure outside of our therapy sessions.
CLIENT AGREEMENT
One-to-one therapy (Online) - each session typically lasts up to
50 minutes. You will also be given a copy of a Client Agreement Form to review and sign after your first therapy session.
PAYMENTS, REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS
One-to-one therapy (Online/In-person) - each session is charged at £77 for 50 minutes.
You will also receive a payment confirmation and details of your first online session once the booking has been confirmed.
After your first therapy session, sessions are billed at £77 per week on a subscription basis. By signing the Client Agreement Form, you agree to be billed for therapy sessions on a subscription basis.
The service operates a 7-day cancellation policy for therapy sessions. If you cancel an appointment over 7 days in advance, you will not be charged for the missed session. As it is a subscription service, this means your subscription will be paused by the service for one week.
Please note, the service can only pause subscriptions for a maximum of 2 weeks. If you will not be able to attend therapy sessions for 3 or more weeks consecutively, please be advised you may be asked to pay a retainer fee (chargeable at £77 per weekly session) in order to retain your appointment slot.
If you cancel with notice in 1-6 days, or if you cannot attend, you will still be charged for the appointment. In the event, you have paid for the session in advance, this means your session fee will be non-refundable.
The service has a two session maximum cancellation policy. If you cancel two consecutive sessions without any prior notice, the service will write to you on the day of the missed session. If I do not receive a response from you within 7 days, I will assume that you no longer wish to continue therapy sessions and I will release your appointment slot in line with the service policy.
You may cancel your subscription at any time by accessing the Customer Portal via Stripe or contacting your bank. Please note the service reserves the right to cancel any upcoming therapy sessions, once a subscription has been cancelled.
All subscriptions will be terminated by the K.I.N.D.E.R. Therapist on completion of your therapy sessions.
Please take the time to read through the Payment, Refund and Cancellation Policy prior to your first appointment with the K.I.N.D.E.R. Therapist
Please access the Payment, Refund and Cancellation Policy here.
Fees will be subject to review on an annual basis, usually on the 1st of January each year.

REVIEWING AND ENDING THERAPY
I will see you in therapy for as long as it is helpful for you. From time to time, we will review our work together, to make sure we are progressing towards your therapy goals. You can choose to end our therapy sessions at any time. Please let me know at least 3 weeks in advance that you intend to finish our sessions so that we can plan a proper ending as well as prepare for your own self-therapy.
